Sony MDR-RF865R Replacement Ear Pads — Black Suede

About this pair

When the cushions on your Sony MDR-RF865R feel flattened or shiny where the nap used to be, Sony MDR-RF865R replacement ear pads in black suede restore a soft dark face for TV cordless listening without replacing the whole RF headset.

These are aftermarket ear pads named for the MDR-RF865R / rf865r family. The black suede-like surface aims for a studio-style feel — a dark-nap RF865R face that sits softer than a cracked leather ring. They ship as a matching pair. They are not RF895RK leather pads and not a gray suede sibling unless you choose that other SKU.

What this spare part is

You get black suede replacement ear pads sized for the RF865R cup mount. Primary intent: replace worn Sony MDR-RF865R ear pads so home RF black comfort returns and hygiene improves after months of nightly viewing. Phrases this listing covers include black suede ear pads for Sony MDR-RF865R, suede replacement ear pads Sony MDR-RF865R, aftermarket ear pads for Sony MDR-RF865R, and Sony MDR-RF865R ear pads for travel and commuting when you still pack the cordless set.

Suede versus leather RF kits is a real choice on this model line. This is the black suede option; gray suede is the light-nap sibling. Semisove black wireless pads keep the soft texture owners expect on RF865R baffles. Protein leather is the wrong material label here — the surface is suede-like Other, not a smooth leather-look skin.

Who it is for

Made for owners who use MDR-RF865R for living-room TV, late-night radio, or quiet commuting with the cordless headset. If you want comfortable ear pads for Sony MDR-RF865R on flights or a home RF black comfort ring that feels clean again, this kit is the stretch-on black RF baffle refresh. Shoppers hunting buy Sony MDR-RF865R black suede ear pads or an RF865R black suede spare kit for sale can treat this page as the matching pair in stock.

Confirm the model marking on the headset. RF895RK leather pads are a different SKU. Do not force a leather kit onto an RF865R cup that expects this suede-like ring.

Install and care

How to replace ear pads on Sony MDR-RF865R: peel the worn cushion from the cup, then stretch the new black suede pad over the baffle until the rim seats. Confirm the mount before forcing the stretch. Care for black suede-like pads by brushing dust and spot-wiping with a barely damp cloth — do not soak the nap or machine-wash. Keeping oils off the dark face slows matting during long TV sessions.

TV cordless suede hygiene matters when shared headphones sit on a dock all week. A fresh pair is faster than living with compressed foam and a shiny worn ring.
