About this pair
Sony MDR-1000X WH-1000XM2 replacement ear pads (MDR-1000X WH-1000XM2 earpads). Gray Leather ships as a matching pair.
These are aftermarketreplacement ear pads, not a cable and not WH-1000XM3, XM4, or XM5 cups. The XM2 gray leather-look face is an easy-wipe gray 1000X skin for over-ear ANC hygiene ring refresh. Sony MDR-1000X WH-1000XM2 ear pads for travel and commuting belong on this spare when your cups match the named list. Flight-sweat gray refresh language from owners usually points to the same wipe-clean leatherette you want after years of stock foam collapse.
What this part is
You receive a matching pair of gray leather-look ear pads for MDR-1000X and WH-1000XM2. Gray versus black 1000X sibling language points to as the black colorway; this listing stays gray. Aftermarket XM2 cup covers and stretch-on 1000X baffle wording describe cushions—not the full headset. Not WH-1000XM3 XM4 XM5 cups; later XM geometry differs and should not be assumed from this SKU.
Shop Sony WH-1000XM2 gray leather pads style searches still need the named first-gen / XM2 fit. Order Sony 1000X gray leather-look pads only when your cups match MDR-1000X or WH-1000XM2—confirm before stretching a cushion meant for a different baffle.
Who it is for
Travelers and commuters who still trust MDR-1000X or WH-1000XM2 but hate cracked stock will feel the benefit first. Aftermarket ear pads for Sony MDR-1000X WH-1000XM2 restore a wipe-clean seal for travel noise-cancel sessions.
Where to buy XM2 gray replacement cushions matters less than seating the stretch-on rim correctly. Commercial shoppers comparing aftermarket XM2 cup covers still need MDR-1000X / WH-1000XM2 naming—not a generic oval that ignores later XM cups.
Install and care
How to replace ear pads on Sony MDR-1000X WH-1000XM2: ease the worn cushion off the cup and stretch the new gray leather-look pad over the same rim. Confirm the mount if your cups use a clip. Wipe with a slightly damp cloth and let the foam dry. Avoid machine-washing or harsh solvents that can damage the leather-look face.
What is in the box
A matching pair of gray leather-look ear pads. No remote cable, stand, or case is included. A Sony MDR-1000X WH-1000XM2 ear pads kit here means the pair only—product type is ear pads, not headphones.
