Beyerdynamic DT-770 DT-531 Replacement Ear Pads — Gray Suede

About this pair

Beyerdynamic DT-770 DT-531 replacement ear pads (DT-770 DT-531 earpads). Gray Suede ships as a matching pair. Flattened or shiny worn pads change clamp feel and seal; a gray suede spare restores the pile without forcing you into a sealed leather look.

Thesegray suede ear pads for Beyerdynamic DT-770 DT-531also name compatibility with PRO-880 and PRO-990 in the fit list, plus DT 531 / 690 / 811 family codes that appear in the product name. Still match the worn pad outline before you order — especially if you also see DT 440 or DT 660 on the label. The open-back DT 990 listing shares that PRO family conversation, but your ring geometry is the final check, not a marketing promise invented here.

Suede feel, care, and studio swap

The surface is suede, not protein leather: expect a velour-like pile that rewards dry-brush care and can attract dust if left unbrushed. For care, brush dry dust off the pile and avoid heavy wet cleaning that can stain or stiffen suede. That keeps long-session monitoring comfort intact without soaking the cushion. A DT 770 Pro breathable cushion feel is the point of this gray colorway — a gray sibling of black suede on the same cup family.

Installation on a DT 770 is a typical ring-mount DIY swap: most DT 770-style pads use a rim or ring you reseat by hand. Confirm the mount on your headset and do not force a mismatched ring. Warm, patient seating around the housing is the usual path; if the ring fights you, stop and re-check the outline instead of tearing the lip. Aftermarket DT 880 Pro pads and DT 770-series names in this family all follow that same careful DIY habit.
